Girl: Hello, you’re live on Cherrytree Radio
Bill: Hello
Tom: Good Morning.
Guy: Live on Cherrytree Radio
Girl: Tokio Hotel!
Bill: Good Morning everyone!
Girl: Wohooo!
Tom: Hello!
Someone: Hi!
Girl: Hi you guys.
Tom: Hello, good morning.
Guy: That sounds like Tom.
Tom: Yea, it’s Tom, right.
Guy: Hi there Tom… and Bill. How are you? Welome guys.
Bill: Thanks, good. And Georg is too late. He is still in the bed.
Girl: Ohhh.. haha.
Guy: How are you enjoying Los Angeles?
Bill: Oh, we have a great time, we had a signing session last day at Hot Topic. That was really cool and yea, we have a good time.
Guy: We’ve been talking about that signing session for the last half hour, everybody had so much fun. Thank you.
Tom: Yea, it was fun and we got really good presents.
Bill: Haha
Girl: I know you did.
Guy: You did?
Girl: A giant box of ? last night.
Guy: And what did you get from Hot Topic?
Tom: Like a own Tokio Hotel Guitar, so a fan built a Tokio Hotel Guitar and we got some drugs.
Bill & Tom laugh.
Guy: Hey guys, you left me in New York, still in New York.
Bill: Oh you’re in New York?
Guy: I’m still standing outside Best Buy.
Girl laughs.
Tom: Waiting for an autograph.
Guy: Okay... hey, which ( gesture ) was better? New York or Los Angeles?
Bill: Umm... I think I liked both, you know it’s great after the fast city New York to come to Los Angeles and just have the nice weather and everything, so… but I can’t decide, I think I likes both, New York and Los Angeles. My dream is still to have a flat in New York and a house in L.A. .
Tom: Yea.
Guy: Yes, wow. I’m trying to pretend that that’s the case right now. Hey, we’re so happy to have you in the USA, thank you for coming and thank you for doing the interview.
Bill: Thank you.
Tom: Thank you.
Guy: Hey, you did a photo shoot yesterday, right? With a really big magazine called “Nylon. How did that go?
Bill: Oh it was great, really. It was really a good time and I think we did for 2 hours the shoot with a really nice guy. I think there are some really great pictures. Yea.
Tom: Yea.
Guy: Wow, so everybody look out for hat on Nylon. Hey, we receive some questions for you on our website cherrytreerecords.com, so I was wondering if I could ask you some of those?
Bill / Tom: Yea… sure.
Guy: Okay, let’s see. This is an interesting question, this one comes from Shirley Taquita and it says : When you record love songs, who are your inspiration. Is it something that happen to you or is it something you want to happen to you or is it something about other people?
Bill: Umm..
Tom: All!
Bill: I think it’s all of that, so yea, I didn’t had a relationship since the last five years, but Georg is now in a relationship, he is really really in love and he has a girlfriend and so I think
Guy: Is it Andrea?
Girl: Haha
Bill: …that it depends, it depends.
Guy: It’s not Andrea from Cherrytree Records, is it? Sorry, haha. Okay, I have another question. This one is from June: When you’re perfoming on stage, do you prefer to sing in English or in German?
Bill: Umm…
Tom: I think we like a mix.
Bill: Yea, I like a mix. We did a mix on tour. On the European tour, we played some German stuff and some English stuff, so we mixed everthing and I think it depends on the day.. yea.
Guy: That’s great, cause you have Fans in both and you know, for the first time ever, we were able to issue the German version of the album, here in the United States, so we’re really proud.
Bill: Ah, cool.
Guy: Thank you for that. So this next question is from Daniella and she asked, if you guys had a day off anywhere, could do whatever you want, without anybody bothering you or not having security. Where would you go and what would you do?
Tom: I would go in a theme park, I think.
Bill: Oh for me as well.
Guy: You like roller coasters?
Tom: I would go in a theme park and have some ice cream maybe later in the cinema or something.
Guy: Let’s go to Disneyland today.
Tom: Pardon?
Guy: Let’s go to Disneyland today.
Bill / Tom: Yeah!! Hahaha.
Girl: Haha
Guy: Let’s blow off all the promotion… haha no, no.
Bill: That’s good.
Guy: Okay, here’s one from Alexis. She says… this is an interesting one. I’m curious about this one. When you were young and still in school, how did you handle getting bullied and harassed?
Tom: Huh? Bully?
Guy: Like pushed around by somebody bigger or something or made fun of.
Tom: Ahh so mobben, mobbing.
Bill: Wie wir damit umgehen? Oh I don’t know, I think we never had that..
Georg: Echt nicht Bill?
Bill: Haha, no! It was great to have each other, we were always together and we had always a friend with us, so it was really cool. And umm yeah… I don’t know. Georg, tell us about your school time.
Georg: Yeah it was great.
Guy: Wow that’s great. I need a twin brother now.
Tom: Yeah… I think that’s the best and it’s good to have your soulmate by your side in the family member and in school.
Bill: Yea, it’s pefect.
Guy: Here a question from, let’s see, Jessy and she asks, if you planned to stay in the music for the rest of your life or if you have other goals that you want to do.
Tom: Oh
Bill: I think, we want to stay in the music business. I think we have a lot of more plans, we want to go to Tokyo, we want to do another… a lot of more records and we want to
Tom: Our dream is to play a world tour.
Bill: So that and a lot of things. I think we stay in the music business.
Guy: Do you think Tom good be a great PR guy and possibly could be my boss someday?
Girl laughs.
Tom: Yeah great.
Everybody laughs.
Guy: Are you ready? Maybe now?
Everybody laughs.
Tom: And get more money then.
Guy: I don’t think so. I can confirm that that’s not the case. So here’s a question from Jessy Delgado and she says, for the first time you ever wrote music, was there ever a doubt in your mind that you would be successful?
Bill: No, no… it was always our dream, but we never expected a success, because we lived in a small village with no music scene
Tom: There were no manager
Bill: Yeah no manager, nothing, so it was really a lot of luck and we never expected that.
Guy: So you didn’t know if it works or not instead?
Bill: No, not at all.
Guy: You did it, because you loved it. You love music and had to do it.
Bill: Yes and we played in little live clubs like every weekend in front of 5 to 10 people, so yeah…
Guy: I still feel that way when you play live, because I feel like you would be doing it, whether there was one person in the crowd or a million. Feels like you love it and you just do it.
Bill: A million is better.
Guy: Well, we’re working on it. Okay, here’s the last question, this is from (?) :
What is the feeling when you go up on stage and fans singing along to your music?
Bill: Oh, I think that’s the best feeling you could have as a musician. No, I think everything is just about playing live and being on stage and see the crowd and ..umm we also had some German songs here in America and that American fans were singing along to the German songs, that was incredible. I think that’s the best feeling and it’s hard to describe it, I think, and you have to do it once, everyone.
Guy: I know, we talked about this earlier, working on your new tour, a tour through the USA. Everyone is excited about it. Are you looking forward to that?
Bill: Yeah really. We first play our European tour, we’re just planning everything right now and, but we really want to play concerts over here and … so… it would be cool.
Girl: I know a lot of people are waiting for that.
Guy: One last question about the new album. I love it. Do you guy have a favourite song from the new album?
Bill: It also depends on the day. I really, I still love “Automatic” and I really like the song “Dogs unleashed”
Tom: And for me, I think, it’s “Noise” , that was the opening song we just played
Bill singing: Noise, wohooo
Tom: We just had been on MTV Worldstage and that was the opening song.
Guy: I know that song. That’s how I get up in the morning. Okay… congratulations on everything guys, and thank you so much for coming to see us in the US and to all the fans that are listening from all around the world, we can’t wait to have you back.
Bill / Tom: Thank you.
Guy: And thanks for getting up so early to call us.
Bill: Have a great day everyone.
Guy: Okay, we see you soon.
Tom: Thank you.
Girl: Thank you.
Guy: Bye guys.
